POLICY STATEMENT
It is the policy of PHOENIX
ENERGY (NIGERIA) LIMITED to conduct its activities so as to
provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions,
equipment and systems of work for all its employees, and to
provide such information, training and supervision as they
need for this purpose. It is also Company policy to accept
responsibility for the health and safety of other persons
who may be affected by its activities and preserve the eco-system
structure of its operational bases.
It is the policy of PHOENIX
ENERGY (NIGERIA) LIMITED to conduct its affairs so as to minimise
any detrimental environmental impact arising from its activities,
and maintain good working relationship with the host communities.
In order to achieve this
policy the company will comply with all relevant legislation
and approved codes of practice and will co-operate with the
appropriate regulatory authorities.
The company considers
that health, safety and environmental activities are line
management responsibilities which need the commitment of all
employees to be effective. To this end, the company requires
that all employees carry out their work with full and proper
regard to their own health and safety and those of other persons
who may be affected by their activities. In addition all employees
shall carry out their work in such a way that any detrimental
environmental impact is reduced to the barest minimum.

NIGERIA CONTENT
DEVELOPMENT POLICY STATEMENT
In line with
Federal Government directives on Nigeria Local Content Development
policy on Engineering Domiciliation, Procurement Centers and
Fabrication in Nigeria and Nigerian content targets of 50%
and 70% by end year 2007 and 2010 respectively:
The policy and
status of Phoenix Energy (Nigeria) Limited on the above subject
matter are:
• Procurement,
Materials and Services - To source for equipment, materials,
goods and render services locally on all projects with the
use of Nigerian professionals, skilled and unskilled staff
except in stringent conditions whereby we might have to consult
our technical partners abroad.
• Nigerian
ownership structure – Phoenix Energy (Nigeria) Limited
was established with 100% Nigerian ownership structure.
• The
use of Nigerian Human resources – We make use of 100%
Nigerian professional/skilled/unskilled labor on all projects
except in stringent conditions whereby we might have to employ
expatriates.
• The
percentage of company indigenous management workforce –
We have 100% Nigerian management staff.
• Evidence
of significant growth capacity building – We have significant
experience of human resources development and infrastructures
growth in Nigeria since the establishment of the company.
